An Introduction to TCM

Post

The managing director of TCM, Allan Thompson, started out as a boat builder, served his apprentice years at the shipyards on the Tyne and went on to become one of the most respected bost builders. Subsequently he moved on to form TCM, which has been running for over 25 years.

Allan and his professional team have traditionally designed and constructed bespoke research models for a customer base including universities and international yacht teams.

Most recently TCM has provided working scale models to the Mirabella Team following construction of the world's biggest single masted yacht. Also another recent project was a complete redesign of a TVR. We spent a large portion of the time on designing an aerodynamic shell.
